02/06/19: Raise Your Voice: Advocacy Training
Wednesday, February 6, 2019*
4:00 - 6:00 pm
Dime Bank, 290 Salem Turnpike, Norwich
The Community Foundation's Women & Girls Fund Task Force on Public Policy is a new initiative to influence public policy in Connecticut to better the lives of women and girls, beginning with passage of a Paid Family and Medical Leave bill in 2019.
Maddie Granato, policy manager at Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), will lead Raise Your Voice: Advocacy Training, an interactive session on the basics of advocacy and how to share stories effectively.
We welcome you to join us for this critical training. If you know of others who would be interested in attending or who have a powerful story to tell about the impact of not having paid medical or family leave, please feel free to share this invitation with them.
For more information or with questions, contact Jennifer O’Brien at JennOB@cfect.org or 860.442.3572.
