Michelle L. Puhlick
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Michelle Puhlick serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut. Her primary areas of focus are planning and management of strategic projects, cultivation and stewardship of donor relations, and development and execution of the Foundation’s communications strategy.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Michelle served for over 20 years in public education as a district leader, school level administrator, and classroom teacher. Throughout her career she participated in various district and state level committees, presented at the state and national levels, and served as both an Education Policy Fellow and Students at the Center Distinguished Fellow.
Michelle is passionate about addressing inequities in education and believes that access to high quality educational opportunities is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Michelle received a Bachelor of Science degree in business and marketing from Eastern Connecticut State University, Master of Science degree in education from the University of New Haven, a Sixth Year degree in public school administration from the University of Connecticut, and a Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University in Boston.
Michelle and her husband have lived in Southeastern Connecticut for over 27 years and are the proud parents of three children.
