Our process for submitting a Scholarship Application is simple and straightforward, but it takes time, preparation and attention to detail. Before you apply, we recommend you take the following five steps to ensure a smooth application process:

Do Your Scholarship Homework

Gather all of the supporting information you will likely need to have handy before starting the application process.

  • Review our list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
  • A copy of your official transcript from your high school or college, detailing your grades and the grading scale. An electronic request will be sent to your school through the online application process.
  • Information on any financial aid packages that are available from the colleges or universities to which you’ve been accepted.
  • Letter(s) of recommendation from a school counselor, teacher, professor or other official. An electronic request will be sent to your designated school official through the online application process. ?
  • Consider areas of study that you are interested in. Click here to see list of possible majors.

Familiarize yourself with the scholarships for which you may be eligible.

  • Norwich Area
    If you live in the towns of Norwich, Bozrah, Colchester, Franklin, Griswold, Lebanon, Lisbon, Preston, Sprague or Voluntown.
  • Southeast Area
    If you live the towns of East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, Montville, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Salem, Stonington, or Waterford.
  • Windham Area
    If you live in the towns of Ashford, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, Mansfield, Scotland, Stafford, Union, Willington or Windham/Willimantic.
  • Northeast Area
    If you live in the towns of Brooklyn, Canterbury, Eastford, Hampton, Killingly, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Sterling, Thompson or Woodstock.

Write the essay required for the scholarship(s) you are pursuing.

Each scholarship requires applicants to write an essay selected from a list of recommended topics.
